Sustainable Procurement Limited (SPL) is a sustainable business consultancy committed to delivering high quality services to public and private sector clients within the UK and internationally. SPL advises clients on sustainable procurement and supply, good procurement, including innovation and circular economy, practice, organisational resilience and efficiency, environmental and socio-economic risk and opportunity assessment and implementation, as well as support services, such as verification, resource optimisation, legal compliance, management systems and training. SPL works in partnership with clients to help them deliver sustainable outcomes through good procurement and supply practices, and to encourage and inspire partners and stakeholders to achieve the same.
SPL is fully committed to protecting the environment and continual environmental improvement across all of its activities and will encourage partners and the wider community to join it in this effort. The organisation ensures that all its activities are carried out in compliance with relevant environmental legislation and other requirements.
SPL is also committed to enabling and encouraging relevant social value in the delivery of projects, client and stakeholders’ procurement and supply practices and our own working practices.

SPL regularly reviews its environmental and social impacts and achievement of its quality objectives. The directors will provide appropriate resources as required in order to enable the company to meet these objectives.
All staff are made aware of this policy and associated procedures and are expected to adhere to their requirements. Everyone is encouraged to suggest ways in which SPL can improve environmental performance, enhance social value and the quality of its services. Where appropriate, sub-contractors and visitors are required to acknowledge and adhere to this Policy and relevant operating procedures.
SPL communicates its Environmental, Social and Quality Policy to all staff through staff induction and training. It is available to all stakeholders through the SPL website (www.sustainableprocurement.eu.com) and forms part of all contracts with our clients.

- People and community. SPL is committed to the ongoing training, education and fair employment of its staff so that the company can continue to provide the most appropriate and valued services. It is also committed to enhancing social value through measures such as training, mentoring, employment of interns and apprentices, sharing of good practice and partnership working with social enterprises as well as effective advice on delivering social value for clients, where appropriate;
- Quality of advice and services. SPL is committed to the highest possible level of service and processes are in place to ensure projects are undertaken effectively, by suitably qualified and experienced staff. SPL is committed to reviewing and enhancing project delivery and to obtain feedback as appropriate;
- Carbon emissions - arising from energy use and travel. SPL is committed to minimizing carbon emissions where practical, including the use of energy efficient equipment, IT solutions as an alternative to travel and sustainable transport;
- Resource use - such as goods and materials used for project delivery. SPL only uses resource where necessary and uses sustainably sourced materials wherever possible;
- Waste generation, minimisation, reuse and recycling. SPL works to minimise wastes generated and its impacts by seeking opportunities to reduce, reuse, recycle and recover otherwise redundant resources;
- The procurement of goods and services required to deliver our services. SPL works to ensure that the products and services which it purchases are as sustainable as practicable, working with suppliers and sub-contractors as necessary.
