ELEVATE Public Procurement Conference, Jamaica, April 2024
The inaugural ELEVATE Procurement Conference was held in Jamaica, 23-25 April 2024. The event was hosted by the Office of Public Procurement Policy (OPPP) under the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, Jamaica’s Public Sector single point of advice on procurement policy implementation. The purpose of the event was to raise the standard of public procurement performance. The conference provided a forum for local and regional stakeholders, such as procurement oversight institutions, suppliers and international financing institutions, to share knowledge and discuss innovation. Barbara Morton gave a presentation on ‘Implementing Sustainable Procurement Policy’ as part of a Panel Session on Sustainable Procurement. Her presentation followed that of Margaret Leon, from the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Smart Technology in Barbados, whose presentation was on the development of the Sustainable Procurement Policy of Barbados. |
