SCOTTISH PUBLIC SECTOR - SHORT SUSTAINABLE PROCUREMENT SESSIONS, JAN-MARCH 2024

During January, February and March 2024 nine short sessions were held, with almost 300 representatives attending from across the Scottish public sector.
These sessions comprised:

1. INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABLE PUBLIC PROCUREMENT - Introduction to the role of procurement in addressing economic, environmental and social challenges – and key enabling mechanisms.
2. USING PROCUREMENT TO ADDRESS THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY - Using procurement to support the transition to Net Zero and address environment and climate related supply chain risks.
3. FAIR AND INCLUSIVE PROCUREMENT - Fair and inclusive procurement - Equality, Fair Work and Community Benefits; the mutually reinforcing approach to equality, fair work, and jobs, skills and training.
